About the Race

WHY RUN IT?

Starting off at sunrise, the Annapurna 100 has been called one of the most beautiful races in the world, and not in a hyperbolic way. The course makes its way relentlessly up to Mardi Himal Trek High Camp (14,750 ft), featuring views of Machapuchare, a.k.a. Fishtail Peak. Then it comes all the way back down to 5,400 feet, offering runners sweet relief in the descent.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

- Albert Einstein

After the race, head down to Pokhara for some true rest and relaxation. With stunning views of Annapurna in the distance, you’ll be able to reflect on an epic journey by the tranquil lakeside. Or you can take to the air for even better views! Pokhara is known for being a phenomenal paragliding destination, as well as a famous trekking region in Nepal. If you want something more adventurous, you can try white water rafting or rock climbing, both widely available in the region.
