About the Race

WHY RUN IT?

The Antarctic Ice 100K is the southernmost race in the world, because unlike most races on the frozen continent, it is run in interior Antarctica, just a few hundred miles from the South Pole. If you’re sad to miss out on the pole itself, you’ll forget all about that when you see the dazzling Ellsworth Mountains alongside the course.

“Until you step into the unknown, you don’t know what you’re made of.”

- Roy T. Bennett

Set on Union Glacier, the Antarctic Ice 100K will take you to a part of Antarctica few have ever seen. From this base, you can mountain climb, ski, ride a fat bike, and even skydive! Consider it adventure central on the continent. You can also fly from there onwards to epic places like the South Pole and Vinson Base Camp.
