What to Expect

The Brazil 135 course profile could pass for a silhouette of Torres de Paine. Once steep ascent and descent after another, each one +1,000 feet for a cumulative elevation +30,000 feet / -28,000 feet. On top of everything, there are no rest stops to speak of. So you’ve got to carefully coordinate a support crew to stand a chance of surviving to the end.

"Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can."

-Lowell Thomas

With Brazil being such a vast and diverse country, it’d be a shame to go all the way there and only see one region! Besides the Caminho da Fe, on which the race is held, highlights of Brazil include the beaches around Rio de Janeiro, like Ilha Grande, Paraty, and Buzios, the Amazon rainforest, Chapada Diamantina, Lençóis Maranhenses, and the charming towns that dot Brazil’s Northeastern Coast, like Recife and Olinda.
