Why Go?

What to Expect

Mostly above the tree line, Mammoth’s high elevation gives it stellar views and an extraordinarily long season. Combined with 300 days of sunshine per year, this makes for incredible spring skiing, complete with t-shirts and tank tops.

"A pair of skis are the ultimate transportation to freedom."

-Warren Miller

Despite its epic terrain and often bluebird skies, Mammoth escapes the crowds by being 5+ hours away from Los Angeles and completely impractical for San Franciscans, who would pass through Lake Tahoe en route. You can fly into Mammoth Lakes for an easy travel experience. But then you face the question, why not fly to Salt Lake City instead?
