About the Route

WHY TREK IT?

The Cape to Cape Track is located in dazzling Western Australia, where a rugged desert coastline is just the start of its natural wonders. The trail crosses 80 miles from Cape Naturaliste in the north to Cape Leeuwin in the south. Along the way, you’ll pass by fields of wildflowers, granite cliffs, and lush forests, as well as a variety of coastal settlements and tourist attractions, like Sugarloaf Rock, Quininup Falls, and Hamelin Bay.

“While you hike, you’ll experience spectacular rugged coastal terrain, white sandy beaches, and coastal heathlands.”

- Michelle Ryan

Those who complete the Cape to Cape track typically take 5 to 8 days to do so. Options for accommodation are endless, especially as the Margaret River wine region develops. Food options are extensive as well, so you won’t need to carry too much in your pack, unlike true wilderness hikes.
