Why Run It?

What to Expect

It’s hard to think of an experience more epic than running an ultramarathon in Namibia through the second largest canyon in the world. It may be smaller than the Grand Canyon, but so few people visit it that it feels like you have it all to yourself. Alone in such an awe-inspiring place, pushing your body to the limits, you’d be hard pressed to come out of the experience unchanged.

"Human progress has always been driven by a sense of adventure and unconventional thinking."

-Andre Geim

To best explore Namibia after the race, take an overland glamping trip, catching sunrises and sunsets whenever humanly possible. You can self-drive there, as many roads along tourists routes are well-maintained. But be sure to get advice before driving in sandy areas, like Sossusvlei, where underprepared drivers get stuck every day.
