About the Race

WHY RUN IT?

With +/-33,000 feet of elevation and a highpoint over 14,000 feet, the Hardrock 100 has earned its place among the toughest 100-milers in the country. It is also one of the most scenic, passing through famed Colorado mountain towns, like Telluride and Ouray.

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”

- Anais Nin

If you plan on spending time in Colorado before or after the race – which you should – the best way to do it is via camper van. There are too many diverse regions of Colorado to stay parked in one place, and bringing your own bed buys you freedom from resort town pricing.
