About the Race

WHY RUN IT?

The Two Oceans Marathon is a scenic ultra (also with a 21 km version) held annually in Cape Town. Having been called ‘the world’s most beautiful marathon,’ you can be assured the course will be stunning. With Cape Peninsula as its backdrop, the race will take you past Fish Hoek and Chapman’s Peak, two famous Cape Town landmarks.

“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

After the race, cruise over to Port Elizabeth along the Garden Route to see what makes South Africa so special. You’ll feel like you’re driving Highway 1 in California, yet you can bungee jump and drive with sharks along the way.
