About the Mountain

WHY SKI HERE?

Just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, Snowbasin is as convenient as it is beautiful. Located in the Wasatch Range, partially above the tree line, it offers dazzling views of the saw-like surrounding mountains. There’s a reason it’s considered ‘the best-kept secret in Utah.’

“Things you don’t expect come up and you have to adapt. You can’t let it throw you off.”

- Mikaela Shiffrin

For the best views in Snowbasin, head up the Allen Peak Tram to the resort’s highest point. From the top, you can see three different states – Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho – with Nevada just out of sight. Just be sure to check the terrain before heading down on skis. It’s experts only in this area.
