About the Race

WHY RUN IT?

The Wasatch Front 100 is a prestigious, 100-mile ultramarathon that takes place every year in Utah. If you’re looking for an epic adventure, it doesn’t get much better than this. The Wasatch Front 100 has it all in terms of toughness – 24,000 feet of climbing, altitude as high as 10,000 feet, temperatures ranging from 80°F to 20°F, and a 36-hour cutoff time. So it’s no surprise it’s part of the ‘Western Slam’ – a collection of the four toughest 100-mile ultras in the Western US.

“To run 100 miles and more is to bring the body to the point of breaking.”

- Scott Jurek

The Wasatch Front 100 passes through the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, one of the most beautiful parts of the Rockies. Passing from mountain lakes through meadows, up grassy ridges to high peaks, the course is rightly nicknamed ‘one hundred miles of heaven and hell.’
